How Bluebird works

Six steps. About ninety seconds of setup, and only one of them happens on a phone.

On the television

  1. 1

    Find Bluebird and add it

In a commercial on another channel, or in the Streaming Store on your Roku. It's free and there's no card to enter.

  2. 2

    A code appears on screen

Six characters, with a square you can point a phone camera at.

On your phone — once, about a minute

  1. 3

    Type your email address

The code is already filled in. Your email is the only thing you ever type. There is no password to make up.

On the television

  1. 4

Three questions, answered with the remote

Which services you pay for, what you like to watch, and when you usually sit down. All taps, no typing.

On demand, after that

  1. 5

    Five things to watch

Chosen for you from the services you pay for, the free channels, and what's on live tonight. Press one and it starts — about four seconds.

  2. 6

    And a note before dinner

At 6:45 a text or email arrives: three for tonight. The same time every day, like the paper used to.

There is nothing to download on your phone.

Step 3 is a web page, not a second app. It opens, you type one thing, and you're done with your phone for good.
